GHM has partnered with British company, Esencia Group, and will be working closely with the Esencia team to develop GHM hotels within Cuba.
Esencia Group is known for developing integrated golf resorts and boutique hotels in areas of natural beauty, while GHM’s strength is in creating highly regarded luxury resorts in new destinations with careful regard for the local community and the environment. This partnership marks GHM’s entry to the breathtaking island of Cuba and its goal to create a resort that marries the distinct local flavour with the quality and ambience which GHM hotels are known for.
The pioneer property being developed under this joint venture is The Chedi Club Carbonera, Cuba. When completed, it will be a one-of-a-kind residential golf resort in Cuba boasting a PGA/Tony Jacklin-designed 18-hole golf course, complete with a golf academy run by Tony Jacklin. A superb seafront location on this 170-hectare site will feature the GHM-managed Chedi Club Carbonera hotel, along with attractive residential villas and apartments for those who would like to own a slice of the Caribbean paradise.
